After burning out on TikTok in September 2025, I had a choice.
Go back to applying for jobs that never called me back.
Or build something I actually owned.
I chose to build.
But this time, I was going to build differently.
This is FOUNDATION phase.
And here's what I built in 8 months—after bedtime hours, on a zero budget, while honoring my capacity.
What Is FOUNDATION Phase?
FOUNDATION is the second phase of ESSENTFLOW™.
It's where you build infrastructure that:
- Works when you're not actively working
- Supports your capacity instead of exploiting it
- Functions on owned platforms (not rented algorithm land)
- Operates sustainably for years, not months
FOUNDATION isn't about doing more.
It's about building ONCE so you don't have to keep rebuilding.
Why Most People Burn Out During Building
Here's what I see happen constantly:
People skip ESSENCE (clarity).
They jump straight to building.
They choose:
- Tools based on what's popular (not what they need)
- Platforms based on trends (TikTok! Reels! Whatever's hot!)
- Strategies based on "shoulds" (post daily! scale fast!)
Then they build a business that requires:
- Constant platform presence
- Algorithm dependency
- Relentless content creation
- Self-abandonment to function
They built on the wrong foundation.
And now they can't stop hustling because the whole thing collapses if they do.
I know because I did this.
What I Built (July 2025 - February 2026)
Here's the infrastructure I built over 8 months (not all at once—this was iterative, messy, and honestly hard):
The Beginning: "Intentional by Shae" (July 2025)
I started on TikTok in July 2025 as "Intentional by Shae."
That was my brand. My identity.
And I did EVERYTHING the gurus said:
- Posted 5x a day
- Went live every single day
- Engaged on other people's videos
- Joined lives constantly
- Taught the algorithm I wanted to be in TikTok Shop
- Created sales videos on top of regular content
I got results: 1,600+ followers. Got into TikTok Shop. The algorithm was working.
But I was not.
The Breaking Point: TikTok Burnout (September 2025)
By September 2025, I was done. Completely burned out.
I was experiencing:
- Constant anxiety (checking analytics multiple times daily)
- Waiting to see if videos would get past 200 views
- Hoping for 1K+ views but rarely getting there
- Addictive behaviors (could not put my phone down)
- Dead scrolling for hours without creating
- Missing time with my baby
- Working when I should have been present
- Frustration that none of the advice helped me reach my actual target audience
The workflow was unsustainable.
I was a stay-at-home mom trying to build a business while caring for a toddler.
The 5x daily posting, going live, engaging constantly—it was too much.
So I stopped.
But something good came from the crash: I started a podcast in September 2025—"Intentional by Shae." Still figuring it out. But I chose long-form content over the short-form hustle that burned me out.
The Transition: Finding My Way (September - November 2025)
I stopped going live. I stopped posting as much. I lost the drive to keep feeding the algorithm.
I tried transitioning to Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. But I was frustrated because I was not seeing fast growth like I did on TikTok. I was comparing platforms. It was discouraging.
And I was still burned out. Still tired. Still trying to find a sustainable way to build.
I kept recording my podcast as "Intentional by Shae," searching for what kind of creator I wanted to be.
Adding The Framework (November 2025)
In November 2025, I added a framework name to my brand: "Intentional by Shae: The Growth Blueprint."
My podcast name changed too: "Intentional by Shae: The Growth Blueprint."
But I quickly realized "The Growth Blueprint" was too generic. I could not trademark it. I could not protect it.
I knew I needed a different name. A unique name.
So I created a list of unique names that could be trademarked.
The First Try: intrica OS (November 2025)
intrica OS was the first name I tried from my list. It was unique. It stood out.
But it did not work. It did not feel like me. It was not right.
The Winner: ESSENTFLOW™ (November 2025)
ESSENTFLOW™ was on the list. And it stuck.
It came from:
- Essence (who you are at your core)
- Flow (sustainable momentum)
It was unique. It could be trademarked. It felt like me.
My podcast name evolved again: "Intentional by Shae ESSENTFLOW." This was the transition name while I figured out the full rebrand.
But the rebrand required a shift. I could not stay in my peer-to-peer, walk-with-you "Intentional by Shae" persona. ESSENTFLOW™ needed authority. It needed structure.
It needed me to step into a role I was deeply uncomfortable with: Capacity Strategist.
I did not want to be a leader. I associated leadership with arrogance, greed, fluff.
But ESSENTFLOW™ required it. So I did it.
The Clarity Period (November - December 2025)
I spent November and December 2025 getting clarity on:
- Myself
- My audience
- My messaging
I was trying to understand where I fit. Who needed this framework. How to position it.
I was rebuilding systems that were not working.
Going back to tools I had used before. Trying to figure out how to build a business with zero budget because I am a stay-at-home mom. My spouse works full-time. I take care of our baby.
I have no money for paid tools, ads, or fancy apps.
In December, I started building my website on Google Sites. Free. Easy. Worked.
Why ESSENTFLOW™ Had to Work (Background: 2-3 Years)
ESSENTFLOW™ exists because traditional employment was not an option.
I spent 2-3 years applying for jobs. No callbacks. No interviews. Nothing.
I got passed over for another candidate every single time. I even dumbed down my resume for basic customer service jobs.
Still nothing.
I was discouraged. I had no energy left to apply. I was over it.
ESSENTFLOW™ was my last chance.
I tried:
- Personal training online (terrible at it)
- Clothing brand (no budget)
Everything I tried required money I did not have.
This had to work.
The Full Rebrand (January 2026)
In January 2026, I made the final change.
I dropped "Intentional by Shae" completely.
My business became: ESSENTFLOW™ by Shae
My podcast became: "ESSENTFLOW™ by Shae: Too Much for the Room"
This was it. This was my brand. No more transitions. No more halfway.
Also in January 2026:
- I bought my domain: essentflowbyshae.com
- I deleted Facebook, Instagram, and Threads
Why did I delete everything?
- They did not match what ESSENTFLOW™ was created for
- I was spending hours scrolling, engrossed in everyone else's success instead of building my own
- The addictive checking, the comparison, the dead scrolling—it was stealing my life again
- I needed to protect my capacity and my family time
I went all-in on platform independence.
The Technical Migration (Late January - February 2026)
I had started building my website on Google Sites in December 2025 (easy, free, worked).
But then I hit a CRITICAL problem: Google wasn't indexing my site.
My business was invisible in search results.
So in late January/early February 2026, I did a complete migration:
- Built custom HTML/CSS site
- Hosted on Netlify (free)
- Migrated all content
- Fixed indexing issues
- Got approved by Google
- Installed Pinterest Tag
- Set up MailerLite completely
- Finalized all automations
This was HARD. But necessary.
By February 2026: FOUNDATION was complete.

What I'm Building Instead of Social Media
Platform-independent infrastructure I actually own:
- My website: essentflowbyshae.com
- Email list (starting from scratch)
- YouTube (long-form content)
- Podcast (ESSENTFLOW™ by Shae: Too Much for the Room)
- Pinterest (low-maintenance distribution)
The Reality:
I do not have a following. I do not have sales yet. I am building from the ground up with zero budget and zero audience.
But I am building on infrastructure I own. On a foundation that cannot be taken away by an algorithm change or platform shutdown.
My Actual Tech Stack (Total Cost: $0-12/year)

Why This Foundation Works
This infrastructure is:
- Platform-independent (I own it)
- Zero budget (free tools)
- Automated (works while I sleep)
- Sustainable (built for years, not months)
- Capacity-aware (honors my limits)
- Sabbath-proof (runs without me)
I built it once. Now it works forever.
Why This Had to Work
I discovered I am high-capacity by asking Claude and ChatGPT what patterns they saw in my work that I could not see.
They told me to stop shrinking myself. To stop worrying about other people's pockets. To build for the people who need this, even if it does not sell to everyone.
After 2-3 years of job rejections—no callbacks, no interviews, nothing—ESSENTFLOW™ was my last chance.
I tried personal training online (terrible at it). I wanted to do a clothing brand (no budget). Everything I tried required money I did not have.
This had to work.
So I'm building slowly. Building sustainably. Building with honesty instead of hype.
Because honesty does not always sell. But it is the only way I know how to build.
What FOUNDATION Gave Me
By February 2026, I had:
- Website that ranks in Google
- Email list growing automatically
- 4 products generating revenue
- Podcast with 18 episodes (Season 2!)
- YouTube channel building
- Blog with SEO content
- Pinterest pins driving traffic
- Everything automated
I was ready for FLOW.
How to Know If You Need FOUNDATION Phase
You need FOUNDATION if:
- You're building on platforms you don't own
- Your business requires constant presence to function
- You have no automation
- Algorithm changes stress you out
- You're exhausted from building the same things repeatedly
- You want systems that work without you
FOUNDATION gives you freedom through infrastructure.
What's Next: FLOW Phase
Once your foundation is built, you enter FLOW.
That's where you:
- Let systems work without you
- Create from overflow, not depletion
- Trust the infrastructure
- Focus on revenue activities
- Sustain momentum
That's FLOW phase.
And I'm living it right now.
The Bottom Line
You don't need expensive tools.
You don't need fancy tech.
You need:
- Clarity on what you're building (ESSENCE)
- Infrastructure that supports you (FOUNDATION)
- Systems that work without constant effort
I built my entire business infrastructure in 8 months, on $12/year, after bedtime hours, while caring for a toddler.
You can too.
