After burning out on TikTok in September 2025, I had a choice.
Go back to applying for jobs that never called me back. Or build something I actually owned.
I chose to build. But this time, I was going to build differently.
This is FOUNDATION phase. And here's what I built in 8 months — after bedtime hours, on a zero budget, while honoring my capacity.
What Is FOUNDATION Phase?
FOUNDATION is the second phase of ESSENTFLOW™. It's where you build infrastructure that works when you're not actively working, supports your capacity instead of exploiting it, functions on owned platforms instead of rented algorithm land, and operates sustainably for years, not months.
FOUNDATION isn't about doing more. It's about building once so you don't have to keep rebuilding.
Why Most People Burn Out During Building
Here's what I see happen constantly. People skip ESSENCE — the clarity phase. They jump straight to building. They choose tools based on what's popular, platforms based on trends, strategies based on "shoulds." Then they build a business that requires constant platform presence, algorithm dependency, relentless content creation, and self-abandonment just to function.
They built on the wrong foundation. And now they can't stop hustling because the whole thing collapses if they do.
I know because I did this.
The Real, Messy Journey (July 2025 – February 2026)
The TikTok Hustle: "Intentional by Shae" (July – September 2025)
I started on TikTok in July 2025. Did everything the gurus said: posted five times a day, went live every single day, engaged constantly, got into TikTok Shop, hit 1,600+ followers. The algorithm was working.
But I was not.
By September 2025, I was done. Constant anxiety from checking analytics. Addictive behaviors — couldn't put my phone down. Dead scrolling for hours. Missing time with my baby. Working when I should have been present. The workflow was unsustainable — I was a stay-at-home mom caring for a toddler. Five times daily posting and going live every day was too much.
So I stopped.
But something good came from the crash: I started a podcast in September 2025 — "Intentional by Shae." I chose long-form content over the short-form hustle that burned me out.
The Transition Period (September – November 2025)
I stopped going live. I stopped posting as much. I lost the drive to keep feeding the algorithm. I tried Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube — but I was frustrated by slow growth and comparing platforms. I was still burned out. Still searching for a sustainable path.
I kept recording my podcast, searching for what kind of creator I wanted to be.
Finding the Framework (November 2025)
In November 2025, I added a framework name: "Intentional by Shae: The Growth Blueprint." But I quickly realized "The Growth Blueprint" was too generic. I couldn't trademark it.
So I created a list of unique names that could be trademarked. I tried "intrica OS" first. It was unique. But it didn't feel like me. It wasn't right.
Then I found ESSENTFLOW™ on the list. And it stuck.
It came from essence (who you are at your core) plus flow (sustainable momentum). It was unique. It could be trademarked. It felt like me.
ESSENTFLOW™ required me to step into a role I was deeply uncomfortable with: Capacity Strategist. I didn't want to be a leader. I associated leadership with arrogance and fluff. But ESSENTFLOW™ required it. So I did it.
The Clarity Work (November – December 2025)
I spent November and December 2025 getting clarity on myself, my audience, and my messaging. Rebuilding systems that weren't working. Figuring out how to build a business with zero budget as a stay-at-home mom with no money for paid tools, ads, or fancy apps. In December, I started building my website on Google Sites — free, easy, worked.
Why This HAD to Work (2–3 Years of Context)
ESSENTFLOW™ exists because traditional employment was not an option. I spent two to three years applying for jobs. No callbacks. No interviews. Nothing. I got passed over every single time. I even dumbed down my resume for basic customer service jobs.
Still nothing. I was over it.
I tried personal training online (terrible at it). Wanted to do a clothing brand (no budget). Everything I tried required money I didn't have.
This had to work.
The Full Rebrand (January 2026)
In January 2026, I made the final change. I dropped "Intentional by Shae" completely.
- Business name: ESSENTFLOW™ by Shae
- Podcast name: "ESSENTFLOW™ by Shae: Too Much for the Room"
- Bought domain: essentflowbyshae.com
- Deleted Facebook, Instagram, and Threads — completely
Why did I delete everything? They didn't match what ESSENTFLOW™ was created for. I was spending hours scrolling, comparing, dead scrolling — it was stealing my life and my family time again. I went all-in on platform independence.
The Technical Migration (Late January – February 2026)
I had started on Google Sites — but then hit a critical problem: Google wasn't indexing my site. My business was invisible in search results. So I did a complete migration: built a custom HTML/CSS site, hosted on Netlify (free), migrated all content, fixed indexing issues, got Google approval, installed Pinterest Tag, set up MailerLite, and finalized all automations.
This was hard. But necessary.
By February 2026: FOUNDATION was complete.

Why This Foundation Works
This infrastructure is platform-independent (I own it), zero budget (free tools), automated (works while I sleep), sustainable (built for years not months), capacity-aware (honors my limits), and Sabbath-proof (runs without me).
I built it once. Now it works forever.
The Bottom Line
I discovered I am high-capacity by asking for outside perspective on patterns I couldn't see myself. The answer was consistent: stop shrinking yourself. Build for the people who need this, even if it doesn't sell to everyone.
After 2–3 years of job rejections — no callbacks, no interviews, nothing — ESSENTFLOW™ was my last chance. So I'm building slowly. Building sustainably. Building with honesty instead of hype.
I built my entire business infrastructure in 8 months, on $12/year, after bedtime hours, while caring for a toddler. You don't need expensive tools. You need clarity, infrastructure that supports you, and systems that work without constant effort.
